I spent a semester of graduate school in Venezuela. I wanted to learn Spanish and had planned to study in Spain. But the program closed a few weeks before the school year started. There was a transfer student from Venezuela so I had the option to go there instead. I had no clue how great the country was and I ended trying to see if I could stay another semester.

I learned how to dance Salsa and Merengue from classmates – everyone dances at every event – even a small party with friends. I don’t think the student visiting my school from Venezuela had as much fun as I did.
