Burma is my favorite place in the world, despite the fact that it’s an impoverished company that has struggled with a brutal dictatorship in the past. The reason is that the country is so different than any other place on earth. This is unfortunately because they have been cut off so much from the world. The pictures from Bagan are my favorite – a huge space covered with thousands of pagodas large and small near a river. There is nothing else around – just paths for walking or riding your bike.

I’m very glad that I got to go to Burma with both James and my wife – the two best travelers in the world.
